Hi there….
I'm Lindy Cook and a qualified Naturopath, Nutritionist and Herbalist. I offer a holistic, evidence based approach to health care, emphasizing prevention, education and the use of natural medicine to support the body’s ability to restore health. My core belief is 'Let Food Be Your Medicine and Medicine Be Your Food' and helping you plan and create a balanced, healthy eating plan is a key component of any appointment with me.
I have been fortunate enough to work in many different capacities within the wellbeing world – recipe development, lecturing at Endeavour College and giving Nutritional workshops in the workplace and working in private practice. I have also been a regular contributor to Health & Wellbeing Magazines, on-line health sites and a speaker at events such as EcoExpo for Sustainable Living.
In 2015 I began a fellowship with The Centre for Sustainability Leadership. Not only do our food choices effect our health, they impact our environment. Diseases, such as obesity and diabetes, are in epidemic proportions and we need to ask ourselves why. Our lives are busy, leaving many feeling to time poor to cook. Often it seems easier to buy pre-packaged, ready made, nutritionally dead foods. Ultimately there is a disconnect between where our food comes from to how it ends up on our plate. We desperately need more 'real food' in our diets to create 'real change'. I want to help you create that change …..

TESTIMONIALS
"Lindy gave an excellent talk on the subject pitching it at just the right level. Lindy has a huge amount of knowledge that she packages brilliantly together for the public audience. The library received very positive feedback from audience members who felt more confident that they could make constructive changes in their lives to improve their health.
Lindy is a great speaker and so generous with her time answering questions after the talk. The powerpoint slides are also excellent."
Gut Health Workshop - Branch Manager, Whitehorse Manningham Libraries
“Lindy provided us with a thorough and informative nutritional session on super foods and even had us taste test some delicious recipes of smoothies and amazing protein balls. Her friendly and approachable nature added to her valuable knowledge that she provided the group and we have now all purchased a number of the ingredients that were presented to us. It was a great way to introduce a healthy office culture and the information provided on sugar confirmed why we needed to get rid of our confectionary box! We are now organising our own “Healthy Lunch Days” using the recipes that were provided to us on the day.”
SES headquarters, Mulgrave
"We had the pleasure of once again having Lindy present a talk to a group at our office. The topic covered the effects of stress on sleep and how best to deal with it and what foods to avoid or include in the diet.
"If you haven’t yet had a chance to book a session with Lindy, then we highly recommend it! The importance of health and nutrition is vital and Lindy offers simple solutions that can be incorporated into any lifestyle."
